Description

Round bar connections for bars with diameters between 5mm - 40mm / 0.25in - 1.5in

Printing Recommendations:

 

For printing, the print profile with the desired round bar diameter can be selected (e.g., 6mm profiles). The connectors are distributed across individual plates. The desired number of connectors can be obtained using the "duplicate" function.

 

Materials:

  • Smooth dowel rods made of beech wood are suitable as round bars (tested 6mm, 8mm, and 15mm).
  • For screwing, M3 wood screws without shaft and with countersunk head are suitable. The length should be at least ½ of the diameter.
  • A thin steel wire rope (1-2mm) can be used for tensile force absorption. 

 

To test this model when a suitable round rod is not available, or for decorative purposes, you can use the following printable round rod. (Not for strength-related applications!):
