Are you ready for liftoff?

Here is a challenging UFO Fidget toy. Can you make the UFO fly and catch it again with the launcher?

The UFO is simply launched by pressing it down with your finger.

The UFO Fidget toy consists of the launcher, a spring and the UFO.

Assembly:

Place the spring in the launcher and then the UFO on top. Done!

I appreciate feedback in the comments on how the UFO Fidget can be improved :)

Also, feel free to write in your high score, how many times you could launch and catch the UFO in a row.

and with that: Have fun!

I recommed to activate support for the UFO. Besides that, it prints perfectly and works awesome!

Not as fun as I had expected it to be. Too hard to really work it for a kid.

I like the fidgets with the spiral and this UFO is a great concept..I agree with some of your commenters that the spring doesn't seem to have enough push to get the saucer out of the spiral..is there a way you can make the spring thicker (or stiffer) or longer to enable a better launch. I printed two springs and stacked them and the saucer wouldnt 'fly' out , but would make other to the top..that was fun..I am relatively new at this and dont know how you designed the spring, but imho I would like it stiffer with a little more push..

hi, thanks for the Feedback. you could try and increase the x and y size for the spring in the slicer. that would make the spring thicker. maybe this could help :)

Supports on spring are super tricky to remove but worked well otherwise!

The UFO launcher had an issue that the springs were messy..that is they coils were thin, I was wondering if the MakerWorld customized spring would work, lo and behold, it practically launches the space ship into space..maybe a little too much, but you might consider redesigning the springs..loved the model after the spring mods..stll waiting for the space ship to return..its been 2 days now..hmmmm anyhow thanks
