Bundesadler | Different Coats of Arms of Germany

Intended usage

These 3D models are designed for educational activities. Nowadays it is important to know the different institutions of democracy, not only in Germany.

These models of the “Bundesadler” give an overview of the various state bodies that serve democracy. All eagles are from the post-war years and are not a glorification of any country.

To be able to print this models fast and in scale, a 0.6mm nozzle is usable and works good enough, a 0.4mm nozzle will lead to better prints if required.

Note

All emblem models are mirrored on the x-axis to have a smooth look (face-down) after printing. If you do not want this feature, please mirror it back.

Resizable

The models are resizable, the factor between thickness (height) and width is around 1: 50, the default scaling of the emblems is a height of 3mm and a width of 150mm. The dimensions are resizable without any constraints besides the stand. I would recommend a more thicker print for usages in class rooms, if it will be used as a “shadow” on an over-head-projector, a thinner and faster print may be possible.

List of symbols (Plates)

#1 Plate: Bundestag (printable)

Bundestag emblem (House of Representatives) as a printable model, the original eagle has gaps between elements that would lead to a non-printable model

#2 Plate: Bundesverfassungsgericht

The Bundesverfassungsgericht, in short BVerfG, is the highest court in Germany with its own eagle emblem.

#3 Plate: Bundesorgane

These emblem is used in some variants by different federal bodies. This variant is two-colored to give the model more stability in some regions.

#4 Plate: Bundespräsident

This emblem represents the federal president, the highest member of the government.

#5 Plate: Bundesrat

The federal council consists of the leaders of the states that in combination is Germany. For example: Bavaria has a seat in this council.

#6 Plate: Bundesorgane (single-color)

It is a variant of #3 but just in one color with “free space” instead of a color. This model might be more fragile.

#7 Plate: Bundestag (original)

It is the base for #1 but with not connected wing and tail elements. It might work as a top layer of a solid background

#8 Plate: Stands (printable)

Contains a set of stands with the name of the crest holders like “Bundestag” on it to use it as a showcase during educational sessions.

The stand is rotated to only have two filament changes instead of many more if printed vertically.

#9 Plate: Stands (textable)

It seems that BambuStudios has issues working with text on rotated elements. Please use this Plate to add new texts to stands and then rotate the whole model. If you have time and no fear of filament waste and want the best results, use this plate also for the prints.
