Description

The Gen 2 Sunlu spool ( see note below on Gen3 spool) fits into the AMS but is 195mm not 200mm like the Bambu Labs spools. The spool drops down too far on the rollers and actually runs on the bottom of the AMS. This will ultimately damage the AMS, increase the motor force required to move the spool and users have reported retraction issues in material changes. 

This adapter addresses this issue, includes an anti rotation feature to ensure the adapters do not slip and has small clips to ensure positive engagement on the spool side walls. Assemble to the spool starting at the anti rotation feature and work from there.

 

Sunlu have now released a Gen 3 design which addresses this issue as shown below. Use the attached pictures to identify which spool you have.
