Description

A bolt action pen that uses the Pilot G2 Mini insert. The mini insert makes for the perfect pocket size edc pen, making it a strong companion alongside my original full size design. This design also introduces a knurled tip and a pocket clip attachment that bring more variety to the lineup and provide options for the full size Bolt Action Pen users.

I would like to confirm, do I need to have the original pen so that I have a spring? It looks like the refills don't come with springs. Some feedback for the designer. Some instructions within the description would be really helpful.

You don’t need the original pen. also it’s It’s pretty simple to assemble. Literally all that you need is the pen insert with spring. The you just screw the cap onto the body, put the insert into the body, then put the end with the slot on end, push down until visible in the cutout, and then insert the small bar. Then attach the clip and, voila! Also you don’t need the pilot g2 insert you just take a pen insert from any pen and cut it down to size. It took me a few tries to get the sizing correct but once I did it worked great! As for the spring you can take the spring out of any pen or what I did is just bought a super cheap pack of like 300 springs in different strengths and sizes on amazon and the picked the one that fit. Hope that helps!

generally most pens would fit if the ink refill is too long, cut it, don't worry the ink won't pour out, because of forces I'm not gonna explain

Sadly, I encountered the exact same problem. Would it be possible to move the cutout as well as the slider a tiny bit up. In doing so, I think the inner moving part should be supporting the thinner upper part of the pen with the cutout. @assortm3nt feel free to contact me, if you have any more questions. Thanks. Cheers

yeah, it is because the insides where the bolt action rides has no radius and causes a stress point

all you have to do is print it horizontally and its really really strong i do this with all the pens i print otherwise they will all break easily

Good design! Not easy to find g2 xs7 for a good price here. Wondering if there's a cheaper compatible refill.

eryone pla+ army green, cc3d pla silk grey, amazon basics pla neon orange. but the cc3d pla is not that good... layers do not stick well and it's not ideal for this print. better stick to valuable brands :)

Printed easily the first time. I separated the plate into 3 objects and was able to get all the colors done in one go. Thank you! Bambu Matte PLA: Dark Green, Charcoal, Ivory White

I bought a pack of Pilot G2 Mini pens. I harvested the spring and the ink cart from that.
