Description

  • ⚠️ Important Notice – Please Read Before Printing an AMS Riser

Due to a license change by benlevi, the original creator of my AMS Riser V2, I am no longer able to update the description of this model. I have already reached out to Support about this issue, but they were not able to help me – because of the license change, this situation is simply how it is, there is nothing more I can do on my end to modify the listing.

I'm currently receiving an increasing number of complaints from users who have printed the Riser V2 for the Bambu Lab P2S or X2D

⚠️ Compatibility – please double-check before you print:

  • Riser V2P1S, P1P, and X1C
  • Riser V3P2S and X2D

Printing the wrong version will result in fitment issues, as the printer dimensions and mounting points differ between generations.

Thanks for your understanding, and sorry for any confusion caused by the locked description – my hands are tied here, but I hope this notice helps clear things up!

RELEASED 20231213

Issue: Oftentimes reported broken Pins
I try to reduce the broken Pins by reducing the length. If the Test is good theres an update this evening (20231213). Second issue is reducing the thickness of the clamps on the back to also reduce the broken ones. And i plan to release a second bottom Part to increase the height of the Frame to make a larger angle possible because of long usb c Cables. Stay tuned

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Makerworld community! Your creativity, continuous support, and inspiring collaborations mean the world to me. It’s amazing to be part of such a dedicated and innovative group. Let's keep making great things happen together!

Worked great for me. First color lithophane on my new P1S with the Bambu kit. Need to make a bunch of these for gifts! I am going to try to make my own backlight with 5v led light strips. Need to test one to see if it fits, works, and if it saves me money over the ten buck Bambu lab ones.

If you do, please let me know where you found the lights. I've been searching Amazon and have had no luck finding lights that would work with USB-C.

I logged this box way better than the Bambu model. so much easier to put the light board and diffuser in it. I like the frame stand better too. It doesn't feel like you'll knock it over easily.

Worked great, hinge for the frame arm was a tiny bit loose, just applied a little pressure to curl it down but other wise all tolerances were great! I ended up gluing down the litho since this is a gift and won't be changed, would love a version that slots the litho in as well to secure it.

nice 👍 i think a slot for the litho doesn't work because it has different heights.

Yea that is fair, might try to play with a solution in fusion to maybe add small tabs at the top and bottom to secure it from falling out when tipped forward.

It's a great frame, thanks for this model, but I can't get the bottom part to snap in, what am I doing wrong?

This is a design flaw The protrusions should be more pronounced to ensure the temples remain secure

Overall good but clamps are weak and in that form are useless. Connectors for joining frame could have slightly tighter tolerances

Works great and better then the Bambu one. But maybe it would be good to have holes in both parts and use dowel as pins. Then you can print the dowels flat what would make it stonger. But I had not problems with it.

Here's a lithophane I recently made for a friend. I like the frame design and just end up gluing the base in place since the pins don't hold it too well. Also, printing the white inner piece is completely unnecessary.

Did you make the original photo? If so, how did you add that painting effect?

I think in US its not the same LED backboard than in EU sold by Bambulab. My version is much thicker than yours and doesnt fit in this kind of frame. And it doesnt have an USB C connection.

I had the same issue. With the backlight board and the diffuser in place, the two parts of the frame will not seat with each other, Yours got closer than mine.
