Gravity Cat Feeder

This model was designed especially for stray cats and community cats, with the goal of making food supply easier, safer, and more practical, while reducing the need for daily refilling.

The feeder works by gravity, with no motor, electronics, or complex moving parts required. The internal reservoir has an approximate 45° angle, allowing the dry food to slide naturally toward the outlet as the cats eat. This way, the food moves down on its own and remains available continuously.

The design was made to store approximately up to 2 liters of dry food, helping keep a good amount available for longer periods. This is especially useful for outdoor feeding spots or areas with stray cats, as it reduces the need for daily maintenance.

The model also includes a retractable lid, which makes refilling the reservoir easier and helps protect the food from dust, dirt, and external contact. The assembly is simple and intuitive, with parts designed for easy printing and fitting.

Another important feature is the option to print a front piece in transparent PETG, which works as a small viewing window. This allows you to easily check the food level inside the reservoir without opening the lid, making everyday use more practical.

Printing suggestion

I recommend printing the main body in PETG, as it offers better resistance for continuous use and protected outdoor environments. For the front viewing window, transparent PETG is recommended so the food level inside the reservoir can be easily seen.

Don’t forget to leave your feedback! Your opinion is very important to me, as it helps identify areas for improvement, refine the design, and make the model increasingly functional. Thank you!
