Description

This is a portable “desk" that holds approximately 25 sheets of ½ US Letter paper (5.5" x 8")  and a couple of pens and pencils. For note taking, sketching, and any other creative endeavor where the sheets are kept outside of a notebook.  The lid contains an indentation for a 4" x 8" leather writing surface and is held in place with 8 10mm x 3mm Neodymium magnets.

The design was inspired by Joe Van Cleave (https://joevancleave.blogspot.com/) who originally conceived of the Handi Desk. Follow Joe on YouTube @Joe_VanCleave.

I personally use my Handi Desk to organize my morning notes created on my 1958 Smith Corona Silent Super typewriter. Why do I chose to use a manual typewriter? Typing on a manual typewriter is slow. It forces me to slow down my brain in the morning while I capture my thoughts, concerns, and desires (not goals or checklists) before I begin my day. The deliberate act of typing is my morning meditation.

I printed the file with Creality Wood Filament PLA. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZCXM2Q8?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1). You must lower the print temperature to 190-195°C!! Standard PLA temps (215-220°C) will cause the filament to burn and create panic in your household (guess how i learned this). I chose Creality because of the look created by the real wood fiber.
