Description
A simple vane air engine that runs on compressed air. Air enters tangentially
through the inlet pipe and pushes against curved vanes attached to a central rotor
shaft, causing it to spin. Designed in Onshape and printed in PLA (PETG advised for
better heat/wear resistance).
Assembly: Drop the rotor into the housing, then glue on the lid, followed by the
intake valve. No additional hardware required.
Tip: A bit of sanding on the contact surfaces helps smooth out print defects and
can improve RPM. A drop of WD-40 or similar lubricant also reduces friction for
smoother spinning.
