Description

7Tired of poorly working 3d-printed plastic bed scrapers? Tired of wasting time releasing complex 3d printed parts that just don't leave the build plate? This impact scraper solves this by providing a hammer mechanism that turns it into something similar to a hammer and a chisel.

Boost Me (for free)

If you boost me, I might be able to afford my dream 3d printer one day, so please consider a boost!

How it works:

The whole model is inspired by the puncher on the image. Other punchers transform the energy in a hammer's accumulated momentum over time into an instant impact. That way, the resulting force is strong enough to punch small indents even in metal. This puncher replaces the hammer's momentum with a spring's potential energy. That way, you get the same functionality on a more compact package.

My impact scraper works via the same principle. I just replaced the spring with rubber bands for more accesibility, and added a print-in-place linear guide to make the whole process even easier.

How to assemble?

All you need is to print the file, and a rubber band. First fold it around the slots like in this picture(look at the orange part, it represents how the rubber band should be folded:

And after that, just grab the two furthermost bits of the rubber band(the part of the rubber band highlighted by the blue circles) and place them in the hammer's slot(follow the blue arrows).

How to use?

You can either use this as a conventional scraper, or with the impact mechanism. To use it, just pull on the free-moving part behind the scraper and release when it reaches the limit. Repeat until the piece gets released. You can also follow the gif provided in the images of the scraper.

You can also store it via the slot into any X/P/H series 3d printer, like shown:

If you want any update or improvement, please write a review or contact me, and I'll fix it asap!

I hope that the scraper works for you, happy printing!
