Description

Based on the model version v00 but with redesigned blades (NACA 4415) and hub

  • Correctly oriented rotor blade profile
  • Reinforced connection to the rotor hub
  • 30° twisted blades
  • winglets
  • Bearing assembly always includes two roller bearings
  • If you need other adapters to install the wind turbine, tell me.

I've used 4x sealed Inline skate bearings (size 608), quality ABEC 9 - Runs perfectly!

As the entire fin is too big for me to print, I separated the rod and the the fin and glued them together.

Worked with PLA and PETG.

May 12th:

Changed the blades. New ones are shorter, thicker and more stable (NACA 4415 instead of NACA 4412)

June 20th:

Uploaded a new print profile with improved parts

  • new improved tail fin design
  • Aluminium rod Ø8 x 144 can be used to fixate the tail fin to the wind turbine
  • The bearing/mounting design was modified so that the entire wind turbine can no longer detach from its pole in strong winds
    • Use glue to fixate the rod to the main body
    • Use a M3 screw to secure the adapter part to the rod  (drilling Ø 2.5 mm perhaps necessary)
    • Screw the adapter part to the pole
  • Improved printing details
