Description
This is a compact case designed specifically for the Waveshare ESP32 Zero series. It has been tested and verified to fit both the C3 and C6 models.
This project is a remix of 3DXGear's design, featuring several optimizations:
- Slimmer Profile: A more streamlined design for a minimal footprint.
- Precise USB Cutout: A tighter, more exact fit around the USB-C port.
- Added Ventilation: Integrated cooling holes to prevent overheating.
- Internal Support Tab: Added a support tab in the rear to ensure the board sits perfectly horizontal. Since the USB-C port is slightly raised, this prevents the board from tilting and keeps it level inside the case.
Fitment & Assembly
Please note that this is a very tight fit. Once the lid is snapped into place, it stays there. It can be a bit tricky to remove, but it can be pried open with a thin blade or knife. If you happen to break the lid while removing it, don't sweat it—it only uses about 2 grams of filament, making it a very cheap and fast reprint.
Technical Details
- Compatibility: Designed for models without pre-soldered headers (pins).
- Wiring: There is enough internal clearance to solder wires to the underside and route them out through the ventilation holes.
