Wye switch
Print Profile(2)

Description
Wye railway switch compatible with LE-GO or MOC city creative trains.
Switch dimensions:
- radius 400 mm / 30° (15° each direction)

Switch you can use directly with curved track radius 400 mm / 15° (you can find a link to the curved tracks below) - in this case, the distance between the tracks in the double-track section is approximately 95.6 mm. This distance is not the same as any distance for other types of switches, i.e., the same combination of switch and tracks must be used on the other side of the double-track section.

The second option is to use short (special length 33.7 mm) tracks, which are located on the second plate of the print profile. In this case, the distance between the tracks in the double-track section is 113 mm. This distance is the same as the distance in variant 2 with standard switches (link to the standard switches you can find below). This makes it possible to combine different types of switches in more ways and create more interesting station junctions.

The connecting mechanism has been tested many times to ensure that it is not too tight, but still holds the tracks together firmly. Nevertheless, I recommend printing test pieces before printing full switch – see more in the chapter on printing.

Printing
The switch on photos is printed from PLA Eryone - bright black.
The first plate of the print profile contains all parts of the switch. The second plate contains special tracks to achieve the required distance between the tracks. These special tracks have the letter S (like a switch) on the bottom to avoid mixing them up with other tracks (especially the standard 32 mm length ones).
There are not many special settings here - objects have 2 perimeters and 15% infill. Layer height is 0.2 mm. There are a few modifiers to improve bridging. Overhanging parts of the rails have supports. Some sharp edges of thin objects have brim added "just in case."
I always prioritize quality over speed, so you can "play around" with the speeds if you want.
There is a separate print profile for the test of connection mechanism. You can use it to test whether the mechanism will work properly with your printer settings. Alternatively, you can slightly modify the flow - for Eryone PLA I use 0.97 (setting of Bambulab profiles for Bambulab PLA is 0.98).
Tolerances are set according to my P1S.
ATTENTION - to complete the model, you need to purchase 8 screws M2 x 4 with lower head (DIN7984). You can find these screws for example on Aliexpress.
Assembling
According to the attached manual.
