Work Sharp multifunctional support stand
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hi.
Work Sharp is a great sharpening system, but the lack of stability during sharpening always bothered me. There are various support stands available, but they were never an ideal solution for my needs. Inspired by those designs, I decided to create my own stabilizer completely from scratch, taking more precise measurements and paying extra attention to fit and usability.
The stabilizer can also be used without magnets, but it works significantly better with them installed, providing much better grip and overall stability during sharpening.
The design is intended to use 6 magnets (10×3 mm):
- 4 magnets are installed inside the printed stabilizer
- 2 additional magnets should be attached to the Work Sharp base
ASSEMBLY:
The first 4 magnets should be installed inside the stabilizer during the pause that I added to the project. If you are printing directly from the STL file, you will need to add the pause manually in your slicer.
For the upper magnets (the ones that connect to the base), allow 2–3 layers to print first, then pause the print and insert the magnets into the holes at a slight angle. This prevents the nozzle from hitting them and keeps them from falling out during fast bed movements.
At the end, test-fit the stabilizer on the Work Sharp unit, place the last two magnets onto the Work Sharp base, and secure them with hot glue.
The stabilizer also features a small recess and a side hole, allowing you to store it either in the folded or unfolded position, depending on your preference.

🚀If you like the model, feel free to leave a like, download, or Boost — it really helps and motivates me to create more useful designs 🙂🚀
Additionally, a small extra part called “Holder” is included. It can be printed and used as a rest for the sharpening arm while rotating the knife. Personally, I do not use the manufacturer’s solution — for me, it is more convenient to unscrew and reattach the clamp each time.
I hope you will like this project and find it useful in your sharpening workflow 🙂
Happy Printing to all!! 🖐️😁
