COMPASS ROSE

According to Wikipedia,

“A compass rose or compass star, sometimes called a wind rose or rose of the winds, is a polar diagram displaying the orientation of the cardinal directions (northeastsouth, and west) and their intermediate points. It is used on compasses (including magnetic ones), maps (such as compass rose networks), or monuments. It is particularly common in navigation systems, including nautical chartsnon-directional beacons (NDB), VHF omnidirectional range (VOR) systems, satellite navigation devices ("GPS").

I have always loved the Compass Rose patterns.  They can be very beautiful and elegant.  I decided to create this in shimmering silk Gold with Red and Green.  I chose yellow for the compass lettering.  I am really pleased with the prints on these, especially when the sun hits it.  I changed the profile to ironing the top surfaces on the compass with the wall hook.
