Description

Printable generic cable chain. 

A design for printing the generic cable chain yourself.

Can only turn in one direction.


I received some feedback from several users after they printed my previous design version, thank you for that!
this has given me new insights for expansion and improvements of the design. 

All parts have been tested, some tolerances have also been adjusted between the parts for a better fit. 

 

 

What has changed in the design:

Additional end pieces with two mounting holes have now been added to the design 
and the design of end (a) is adapted to the same shape as end (b). 

 


Sharp corners are rounded for better print quality. 


 

The coupling part is chamfered for easier attachment

Excellent, however, some of the links are too loosely connected and do not hold together properly. Moreover, an opening for the cable insertion is missing as it is already attached. I have used a Dremel to work on each link.

Note that while the links can only bend in one direction, if you switch the orientation of the links midway through the chain, you can achieve a S shape. So if you have a run where the beginning needs to curve out in one direction, but then the slack needs to curve in the other direction, that can be accomplished.
