Description

Hello everyone,
For my second entry in the Makerworld competitions, I wanted to offer the community a larger, fun, modular remote control designed for children (ages 3 and up only). It can also be suitable for people who experience fine motor difficulties in their hands, thanks to its easy-to-grip design.

It is made up of two bays with a standard shape (left/right interchangeable) that can accommodate different modules. Part of it can be assembled by a child using the 3D-printed screws and screwdriver.

NEW CONTENT !!

I make some updates on this model. I solve some issues on it and add 2 modules

List of modifications and addons :

  • Thread holes are optimized to solve the problem of self-locking Cyberbrick screws
  • Replacement of BT2x5 screws by generic Cyberbrick kit screws to close modules
  • Add a window to the front cap to be able to check if the controller is on/off
  • Add rocker switch on the front emplacements of the controller
  • Correction of joystick level
  • NEW X AXIS MODULE
  • NEW 4 BUTTONS MODULE (/!\ 200mm 2pins SH1.0 wires need /!\)
  • New ball grips for 1 and 2 axis modules

You can find illustrations of theses updates in the attached document (Update Details)

ALL OLD PARTS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW ONES INSTEAD OF MODULES CASING DUE TO THE REPLACEMENT OF BT2x5 SCREWS BY THE CYBERBRICK KIT SCREWS.

It can be powered either with the AAA battery module or with the rechargeable lithium battery.

There are also three additional types of optional supports:

  • Grips to add on the underside of the remote
  • Table mount
  • Support to hold the remote between the user’s knees

Minors must be supervised by an adult when playing with CyberBrick toys.

Thank you for your understanding and happy printing!
