Description
HoverFlow Tryx – Open Frame Edition (Wood Version)
This is my second contribution to the Makerworld Challenge.
This version focuses on the wooden shell, including the laser-ready panels used for the frame.
The HoverFlow Tryx combines a compact open-frame layout, a full Tryx water-cooling system, custom wooden side panels, and a floating magnetic fan that spins inside the open window.
Even in the wood version, the build stays extremely compact and detailed.
🔥 What makes this build special
- Extremely compact size: 272 mm × 229 mm × 459 mm
- Levitating spinning fan inside the open window
- Tryx water cooling running almost the full height
- Laser-cut wooden frame with custom pattern
- Tight cable management → challenging but rewarding
- One of the smallest open-frame PCs without mini components
⚠️ Important Note
This version is only for large 3D printers with a laser module.
The wooden frame must be strong, so I did not make a small version.
You will also need a laser to engrave or cut the wooden panels.
Scaling down is possible but will affect stability and fit.
📦 Additional Details (Wood Edition)
- The wood engraving pattern is NOT inside the 3MF, because I added it directly in Bambu Studio, where laser power and depth can be adjusted.
You can add your own pattern or design your own engraving in the slicer. - The wood LAC / laser file is included in this upload.
This is the exact file I used for cutting and engraving the wooden panels. - The 3D printing files (3MF) are not included here, but they are
attached separately or available on my Makerworld profile. - After laser cutting, I cleaned the dark edges with a small file to get a smooth appearance.
- Required right-side display:
AISHICHEN 11.26" Mini Monitor — 1920×440 IPS (HDMI + Type-C)
(reference from your uploaded image: /mnt/data/Bildschirmfoto 2025-11-25 um 21.56.18.png) - Photos above show how I wired everything inside the tight space.
