Floating Flowers
Bring a touch of charm and color to your garden pond, birdbath, or decorative bowl with these 3D printed floating flowers.
Designed to float beautifully on water, they make a lovely accent for both indoor and outdoor displays. The models are optimized for PLA printing, which keeps them lightweight and easy to print. For outdoor use, you can print them in PETG to achieve extra durability against water and sunlight, ensuring they last much longer.
In addition to their decorative appeal, the flowers can also serve as safe landing spots for insects like bees and butterflies when they come to drink water.
Each flower is available in four different sizes, making it easy to create a varied and natural-looking arrangement on the water surface. you are free to choose any colors you like — from realistic floral tones to bold, creative shades.
They create a playful yet elegant effect on the water surface — a simple print project that adds life and decoration to any setting.

My 3D printed Floating Flowers are designed to float on water. However, if printed in PLA or another hygroscopic filament, the material and layer lines may slowly absorb water over time. This can make the model heavier and eventually cause it to sink.
To help prevent this, seal the print with a waterproof coating. Good options include:
Clear spray lacquer – easy to apply; use several thin coats.
Acrylic varnish – good for decorative use.
Polyurethane varnish – stronger protection for outdoor use.
Epoxy resin – very effective for sealing layer lines and making the print more watertight.
Marine varnish – ideal for longer outdoor exposure.
For best results, coat both the top and underside, especially edges, seams and visible layer lines. Let the coating cure fully before placing the flower in water.
