Parametric: Kitchen Trash Can
Print Profile(2)

Bill of Materials
Description
Here is a trash can that I mainly use in my kitchen to store used coffee pods or as a tabletop trash can. This model is parametric.
It consists of several parts:
- A base
- A lid with a rotating part (print in place, be careful not to split these objects before printing)
There is no support. The photos show the model in 0.12 mm
To generate your model, click on
You can choose from all these parameters

Pay attention to the height of the lid in relation to the height of the body to avoid generating inconsistencies.
Once you have entered your parameters, click on the button
Once the generation is complete, you can click on the button
to retrieve your model in .3mf or .stl
You must modify the attached print profile to integrate your objects; currently, the .3mf configuration is not correctly supported in the generator, and in case of a timeout during the generation of the .3mf file, you must use an stl export.
Link to a video detailing the modification for those unfamiliar with the Bambu Studio slicer: Bambu Studio: OpenSCAD parametric trash can - how to import objects?
After customizing and generating your .3mf or .stl model via Openscad,
- Download one of the print profiles
- Open the profile in Bambu Studio
- Delete all objects except one
click on this icon to import the objects generated via Openscad by selecting the file you generated- Choose the option to import only the geometry
- The objects appear grouped on the first plate
- Delete the old object you left to be able to import the others
- Select the second plate then import again the objects generated via Openscad by selecting the file you generated

- 3 parts appear under output_1(plate 2), select the last 2 then right-click then select delete to leave only the body of the trash can
- Select the first plate
- Then in the menu on the left select the objects menu
- Right-click on output_1 (plate 1) then select split into parts
- 3 parts appear under output_1(plate 1), select the first object output_1_1 then right-click then select delete to leave only the 2 parts corresponding to the lid of the trash can
- Select the objects then right-click to choose the filament you want to use
