Description
I made a custom organization kit for our lab's TRC field meter. It includes a spot for Kimwipes, TRC check standards, a timer, 6 cuvettes, a Hach DR 300 field meter with a small storage cubby underneath, and a removable tray for reagent.
To assemble:
Step 1: Insert the 2 handle supports into the spaces on the lid with glue. It's a tight fit so not much glue is needed.
Step 2: Insert the larger diameter, shorter dowels into the handle supports and through to the handle. I used some CA glue to keep them in place.
Step 3: Insert the smaller diameter, longer dowels into each side of the lid hinge. These can be glued but it's not necessary.
Step 4: Insert 8 6mm diameter by 3 mm deep magnets into the appropriate places in the box and latch. Make sure you keep the magnets aligned in the correct orientation.
Step 5: Using a 100 mm long piece of 18 gauge wire, connect the latch to the supports on the front of the lid. Snip any excess and you can optional heat up a piece of metal to plastic weld the hole shut.
Enjoy!
