The Dice Predictor | See the Outcome Ahead of Time

A Simple Yet Ingenious Trick🎲✨

This dice box allows you to seemingly magically predict the numbers rolled by two standard dice (16 mm x 16 mm).

No special dexterity or extensive practice required.

The box is designed to be printed without supports.

The trick works immediately after printing; you only need one or two standard dice.

This simple yet impressive prop is perfect for magicians, mentalists, and anyone who wants to astound their audience with a small trick.

The movement required for the trick is incredibly easy to learn and can be clearly seen in this video.

Instructions

Hold the dice box and extend your arm downwards at approximately a 45° angle.
The dice will slide forward in the box. Now quickly raise your arm completely upwards and then swiftly return it to its original downward position. The dice will make a distinctive sound, which with a little practice, will indicate whether the trick has worked or not.

The movement rotates the dice within the box by exactly 90°, allowing you to see the next numbers when displaying the result of the previous roll.

Practice this movement a few times and check if the dice are positioned correctly after the movement. Repeat the motion until you develop a feel for whether the roll was successful or not. Pay attention to the sound produced when the roll is successful. You should master the movement within 2-3 minutes.

I recommend that beginners performing this trick explain that you can determine the outcome of the dice roll by the sound.

This way, if the dice are not positioned as predicted, you can still say that your audience was too loud and suggest trying again. This misdirection will lead your viewers down the wrong path, prompting them to attempt to discern something from the sound, thus making them less likely to uncover the trick. When performing the trick, avoid looking too obviously at the dice to ascertain the future outcome.

As a child, I owned a similar dice box, albeit incredibly small with two miniature dice that were quickly lost. Recreating the box and the secret trick from memory was a small challenge I undertook for the Maker World Magic Trick competition.
