Air Purifier Using Core 300 Replacement Filter

Required Parts:

• 120mm Fan – Option 1:
  Sanyo Denki 9GV1212P1J01

  • This fan provides higher static pressure but is noisier.
  • According to the EPA document, used HEPA filters require static pressure greater than 1" H₂O.
• 120mm Fan – Option 2:
  Sanyo Denki 9RA1212P4G001
  Link to Digikey
  • This fan is quieter but provides lower static pressure.
  • In my tests, it was still sufficient for air filtration.
• Please don't use PC fan.

• 12V PWM Controller:

Printing Notes:

• Fan Housing:
  • There are two 6.3mm injection ports at the bottom.
  • You can drill through them with a ¼-inch drill bit and fill the part with foam sealant for additional noise dampening, following examples like this Reddit post.
• Filter Enclosure 2:
  • This is optional and only needed if you want to stack two filters together. When stack two filters together, drill a hole at the bottom of the top filter. 
• Fan Dampener:
  • Print using soft TPU filament (85A hardness).
