Description

A world visit map to track where you (and another person) have visited.  164 different locations (please note not every country is part of this due to size constraints in the design - mostly small islands are not possible).  See the PDF instructions to view a list of all locations and detailed print/assembly instructions.

Overall design ends up being 72cm/28.3" wide and 42/16.5" cm tall.  Designed to be able to hang on the wall and locations in colors you may need in the future as you travel can be stored in the blocks.  100% 3d printed

Ratings: If you rate less than a 5 star rating please provide detailed reason as to what the issue is and pictures if possible.  I'm always looking to improve designs but can't do so without feedback.  Please make sure the issue isn't related to your specific setup/filament and keep in mind silk filament tends to be weak.

Wonderful design and print! Thank you. for a future update, perhaps have a minimal backing version? felt like the borders of the frame were overly thick and if they are connected together then it adds even more thickness. I think a few standoffs might work fine and the depth can be reduced too. also there's a few islands that could be added within the size constraints. maybe have that as an optional addition? Regardless, Thank you!

the back is thick with the assumption that there would be 4 copies of each location and up to 3 of them would be in the back. 1 for unvisited, 1 for visited by one person, 1 for visited by the other and one for visited by both. what island are missing that are big enough to have at least one peg?

ah okay, the thickness makes sense then. I just printed them as needed and saved the file for future reprints. For the islands, I was thinking northern canada, northern Russia, Tasmania.

oh yeah those could be added. I was thinking you meant unique countries wise. I debated doing an h2 series version to make it all bigger but it didn't really add any new country possibilities

Printed really well in PLA Wood. Some issues with the pegs snapping off when you slide the locks into place, but easily solved.

@dry3210 Can you explain the purpose of the outlines on the main blocks/plates? Is it just to help install the countries? Or is it for contrast or something even once the countries are installed? (I realized I screwed up and changed the whole plate to same filament and printed 3 of them... but they look like they'll work even without the outline?

@dry3210 Could you make a 'no legend' variation of the plate with South America like you did for Europe (https://makerworld.com/en/models/1105094-europe-visit-map?from=search#profileId-1100856)?
