My New Kitchen Eye-Catcher: The PeppyPlayer "Klee Edition" is Live! 📻✨
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share my latest project with you: I’ve just finished building the PeppyPlayer "Klee Edition." After a few rounds of prototyping and fine-tuning, the final version is now officially part of our kitchen—and it’s a total magnet!
Whether it's during breakfast or when guests are over, the modern 3D-printed housing (fresh off my Creality K1C) with its high-contrast look is a real showstopper. The 5-inch touchscreen is super responsive, and the interface is just a joy to use.
The best part? Everyone is constantly playing their favorite tunes! Whether it’s web radio, Spotify, or a personal collection—the sound is crystal clear and free of any humming, thanks to the integrated EMI Filter and the Hifiberry DAC+.
What’s new in this version?
Modular Tray System: The Raspberry Pi sits on a slide-in tray, so I can access the SD card without taking the whole radio apart.
Front Power Switch: A dedicated 12V switch on the front to cleanly cut the power after a software shutdown.
Optimized Fit: Everything snaps together perfectly with improved tolerances.
I’ve attached some photos of the finished build and the new internal tray system. I’ve also uploaded the STLs and a detailed guide to GitHub if anyone wants to build their own!
What do you think of the color combo? 🎨
