The 2.3 update is up for the Synestia 2 as well. This model doesn't include the loop420 or SOS parts. There will be a model soon that's just the parts as well for platform developers.
If you build a yo-yo with openThrow, you can have it listed on the openthrow.com website for free. just send me a message

All OT2 models have been updated to version 2.3! This also has a soft-launch copy of a fully functional loop 420 with string on string response hub!

Massive update to the wbsite today! I've now documented this to the point that a designer could easily pick up and start working with openThrow
Check it out today* at:

*propagation time dependent.

#Comingsoon Got some stuff essentially ready to go, just need to package it up. Not shown here is an updated stem bolt! The new design uses the three cutouts in the interconnect as rotational stabilization. Everything will be backwards compatible, though, to use the old, small hole only shells, you'll have to print the alternative model.
Bonus: there will be both responsive and unresponsive cabal stem adapters and both the OT and Cabal adapters will support a sidecap system.

The Modern Responsive spec is out! I've opted to break up the spec by play style instead. The 2A will be out today if this print works. It will be a C-size SOS looper and POSSIBLY the A-size, we'll see. I do have a functional prototype, but it's a bit janky.

Open Throw 2's unresponsive spec is live! Go download it now and try out Synestia 2, much longer spin times, more features, and flexibility. Designed for adaptability, create your own accessories or even your own design! Later today watch for Open Throw responsive, and coming soon will be Open Throw extended which will add fingerspin options and at least two surprise features.

Major update!
Open Throw 2.0 is complete! The files will be available this weekend. That's not a typo, open throw will also be available in a responsive version as well in a second file.
The new hub system allows you to tweak the gap width by switching discs. the ones I'll include will be +0 +1 +2 mm (note: youlll need a 25mm axle for +2 or greater. additional widths will be available)
there's also a new connection method, the metal part you see is called a self setting rivet nut. it's press fit into that other part to create what i call the self sealing stem bolt. I use a bench press to put them in, but you should also be able to hit them with a hammer. you can run them without the handle or embed them however you see fit in your design. the video below doesn't show it because this is a prototype, but they clip on so you can take the yoyo apart without everything going everywhere

I released a paid yo-yo model that uses One Drop Side Effects! Only $6, I will be replacing the current Synestia with one that uses improvements made on the Prometheus. other than the side effects since I am in the process of developing a new axle system that should be a large improvement over the one used on Synestia. I'm bringing back the seperate response discs as well, this time, sized to be compatible with the One Drop Cabal to allow the user to "upgrade" the axle system if they choose.
