I have printed RepRack inspired free standing brackets but couldn't find a bracket that allowed spanning multiple joists so I designed a hanger myself. It uses 1/2" EMT like the RepRack system and there is plenty of room above for boxed or unboxed 1KG spools. There are two hangers in the upload. One has a through hole with chamfer/taper on one end to help with guiding the EMT. The other has a blind hole (4mm wall) to use on the end so that the EMT cannot slide.
