My goal was to create something that would be easier to pack for the beach, camping, tailgating, or simply storing in a cooler pocket without taking up as much space as a traditional rigid koozie. It prints as a single assembled piece, expands for use, and collapses nearly flat when you're done. The tradeoff is that it takes longer to print due to the integrated hinges and internal geometry. I loved the idea of rigid 3D printed koozies, but they can be a little awkward to pack for the beach, camping, or a cooler bag. So I designed a foldable version of my SnapLock Reload Koozie that prints flat as a single print-in-place piece, then folds around and clicks together after printing. It still keeps the same satisfying snap-lock retention and rapid reload design—just in a more compact, packable form.

I’ve seen a few rapid reload-style koozies out there and wanted to put my own spin on it. Most rely on friction fit, so I designed a version with a snap-lock mechanism that clicks into place for a more secure hold. Our daycare requires every bottle to have name, date, and prep time. Writing it all out daily got old fast, so I made a reusable label. The name is printed permanently, and two recessed sections fit ½” (14mm) masking tape for the date and time. Just peel and replace each day. Quick, clean, and daycare compliant.

The OEM cup holder on our Safety 1st seat was too small—most cups didn’t fit, especially handled ones, and they’d tip over while driving. After plenty of toddler frustration (and a couple holders getting pulled off and lost), I designed a better replacement.
