When I first designed it, I intended to use glue to attach the parts, but it wasn't sturdy; the pieces kept separating. I changed the design and opted for a screw-on system, but aligning the brass inserts and screws was a lot of work. It was actually sturdy, but I wasn't happy with it. So I switched to this last, sliding design.
