GT-RC The World´s First Modular RC Chasis
GT-RC The World´s First Modular RC Chasis

Ladies and Gentleman, it´s finally here, my latest 2 new RC Chasis, GT-RC s and GT-RC r

So after very long time uploading scale 1/19 cars to MakerWorld I believe that was time to step up the game so I went with this crazy journey of making the Worlds First real modular RC Chasis.

First of all, why do I say real? Well,in most of the 3D Printed RC Chasis projects out there, to swap chasis from one car to another you´ve to print different parts to accomodate chasis to each car, and to achieve these not only you´ve to print new parts, you´ve to also unscrew some few bolts and then screw them back again into the new position. This is the only method available with all the chasis out there and this is boring even though it´s effective, but I wanted to change the game, redesign and rethink about everything possible for this kind of project.

So I came up after lot´s of testing and designing with a new system in this kind of projects, this chasis now can change in length and width in just a few seconds, just open up some 3D Printed latches and locking systems, move each component to the specified position for each car and then lock again everything into place, No Bolts in the process, no new or different 3D Printed parts, just moving parts that lock into place.

This means that one same chasis can be swapped from one car to another in less than 4 minutes (tested) the only bolts that need to be unscrew and tighten again are the ones on the wheels, like in any other RC Chasis.

As you can see I´ve made 2 different RC Chasis the one on the left image it´s the GT-RC s, this is a full CyberBrick + MakerSupply (N20 400rpm & Bearings) chasis, even though top speed is arround 4-8 kmh it´s the one that aims to the major public and more specificly to MakerWorld and CyberBrick comunity, being the easisest one to assemble and the most attractive to Makers and Beginners in the 3D Printing World and RC community.

On the other side there´s the GT-RC r, this chasis aims to high performance, this one works on the same structure as the GT-RC s but on steroids, it uses MJX HyperGo 14300 Series RC Car components (this was for a time and stills one of the most selled RC Cars on AliExpress), this gives this 3D Printed Chasis the ability to reach 70-80kmh, 2.5Kg Servo, CounterSteering Gyroscope, Formula 1 Style Push Rod Suspension with High Quality Oil Suspension and the possibility to use 2S or 3S Battery, this one is a wild animal, a one of it´s kind and all these while keeping the same modular system of the GT-RC s Chasis. But the GT-RC r won´t be aiming to a high mass public like the GT-RC s with it´s CyberBrick Ecosystem, so even though that´s why 2 Chasis, so people can choose.

NOW EVERYTHING IT´S AVAILABLE AT MAKERWORLD!

Each chasis have video guide assembly to make everything as easy as possible to everyone and as you can expect I´ll keep making scale 1/19 cars in the same way, for now I´ll keep priority to those and once that each of those cars reach a minimum ammount of dowloads, likes or boosts then I´ll convert them to RC scale 1/12.

All these means that in the next months we´ll have most of the scale already uploaded 1/19 cars that have GT / Sport Style chasis converted into scale 1/12 and being able to be RC cars, these means that by the end of the year if everyone loves and supports these project, we can have more than 20 RC Cars in 1/12 Scale, remember if you want me to make any of the already uploaded cars into RC all you need to do is to give them some, love :)

And Heres a presentation Trailer video!

To those who keep giving me some support and following me on MakerWorld all I have to say is thanks so much, can´t way to see how far we can go :)

@Beboutsdsm I can make everything at home if I buy all of the parts you have linked and print all of the parts for the gt rc s right as long as I get everything off makerworld?

@Woogie @Mr.Rod : Sorry if I'm being blind/dumb, but where is the link for the parts needed to be purchased? This looks sweet, but I'm a bit lost. Thanks :)

@Beboutsdsm I would love to print this but I have 3 questions for you. I need to buy the cyber brick beginners hardware kit or a different one and does it come with the remote controll or do I have to do something different with that also what do I have to do with the cyber brick app and the jason files to get the car to drive? thank you

@digitallyforged Great design but it's not the only Cyberbrick modular RC chassis. I have also designed a chassis that will work with multiple bodies. I even made a car to truck conversion for them.

@Mr.Rod Thanks Mate! Yeah but the difference of this chasis compared to other "modular" chasis are: - The chasis adapts to the car without changng proportions or scale of the car/shell, the chasis is the one that adapts and not the shell. - The chasis can change it´s wheelbase dimensions, width can go from 12-14cm in total with 5 adjusable points per side and it´s length can change from 17 to 25cm via 37 different adjustable points. - And one last important point but not least all this modular system can be implemented in real life cars with real life designs keeping the same scale and all this can be made wihout using bolts only clamps and locks that are 3D Printed all that in just a few minutes. I´ll be uploading everything tomorrow, and will be uploading a video where I showcase all these major features that differentiate them from other modular RC ecosystems :)

@Kardamon Hey buddy, maybe you have the list of parts for making gt-rc 1.3? I don't have a mjx14300 car, and I wanna buy all needed hardware separately

@user_468078745 How would the 1000 rpm motor (LA004) work with this? It has very low torque but maybe it would work ok anyway? https://eu.store.bambulab.com/products/n20-reduction-gear-motor?id=47977726247260
