🚧 Project Preview – RC CyberBrick M1A2 Abrams 🚧
I’m excited to share a first preview of a model I’m currently working on and plan to upload soon. This project is a cooperation with @Sgt_Reckless, who kindly shared his display model of the M1A2 Abrams SEPv3 Main Battle Tank with me. Honestly, this is one of the best-looking and most detailed tank display models I’ve ever seen, so we decided to team up: → I take his highly detailed static model and upgrade it into a fully RC CyberBrick model. What’s the goal? This model is completely overengineered by design. The main focus is to implement every mechanical feature as well as possible, while still keeping the assembly process as easy and accessible as possible, all without compromising the original look of the display model. AvailabilityThe finished model will be available for free on MakerWorld, without any crowdfunding or paywalls. 🔧 RC features:Individual track steering360° turret rotationFront and rear LEDs🔩 Engineering highlights:Based on the M1A2 Abrams SEPv3 Main Battle Tank (1:30 scale)Designed as a fully RC CyberBrick-compatible modelAll moving parts are mounted on ball bearings to ensure extremely smooth and reliable operationThe RC, drivetrain, and mechanics are hidden inside the belly of the tank and covered with platesVisually, the model stays almost identical to the original display versionFrom the outside, it still looks like a highly detailed display model, but underneath, it’s a serious RC machine.More updates coming soon Let me know what you think!
