Description

Tie Fighter Kit Remix Remix!

Remix of MrGreaterThan's model: https://www.printables.com/model/563813-tie-fighter-kit-remix

Which is a remix of RakoonDesign's model: https://www.printables.com/model/335994-tie-fighter-kit

This remix includes modified TF_pin_pin_x2.stl, TF_Pegs.stl, TF_pin_x4.stl, & TF_Lock.stl parts for easier printing and assembly. I also slightly changed TF_windows.stl since I kept running into bed adhesion issues with such small parts. Be sure to check out the original models on Printables!

No supports needed. The print profile includes all the objects separated by color.

I resized print to 60% of original to fit the A1 mini. It printed perfectly! The parts fit extremely well! Thank you!!

Printed this at 200%, those big wings JUST BARELY fit on my X1C. The precision of part fit was dream. Well done, a wonderful print AND build. This is going to a relative who won't believe his eyes when he gets it, Thanks!

what are these for? I can’t see where these go on the model?

Replying to @Byte7648 :
thanks! my model actually went together great without these. Maybe I’ll take it apart to add these for longevity.

First, May the 4th be with you...always! Second this is a great model. I couldn't get the little tiny pegs/plugs to work so I ended up Glooping the model together, but other than beating my head against the wall on those everything else was pretty good. Thank you for sharing this!

Bambu Lab Iron Gray Metallic PLA and Overture Space Gray PLA (I tried using Elegoo's silver PLA Pro but it had lots of dripping going on no matter what I tried).

I did a couple variations. All of them came out great.

This is one of the coolest things I've printed in awhile. No issues at all, and it snapped together perfectly, no glue required. Very nice model!

it came out amazingy, my son loves it!. only thing was I broke one of the wing pins the first time (probably due to my lack of care)when I assembled it, I reprinted the pin and second time around I was more careful

Very nice print. I only did end up gluing some of the parts. Most of it went together without.

I have been wanting to model a Tie fighter myself from Starwars Blue Prints book I have. I saw this one and printed it, came out amazing. Top effort, I really like the way it assembles, very thoughtful and intuitive. Gives me one to admire while I model my own. There are slight differences from the original drawings to this one, overall very similar though.
