Description

I designed these for under my desk to help keep all those pesky cables out off the way and off the floor, I wanted something that was easy to use putting cables in and out and could also store plenty of large gauge cables.

These clips have approximately a 30mm cross section for cables, it features a single countersunk mounting hole at the top for a up to 4mm screw and a 6.5mm hole at the bottom to fit a screw driver through for easy mounting.

The print includes a sprue to help against warping of the small clip end.

Print time: ~30min

Print settings used:

After some experimentation I recommend that the parts are printed either separately or by object so as to get best accuracy in dimensions, further it may also help to print the clip part at slower speeds again to increase accuracy.

Brim: None

Support: None

Infill: 40% Triangles (too little infill will cause clip to become too flexible)

Layer height: 0.2

Walls: 3

Bottom Layers: 3

Top Layers: 3

Post Processing: Remove sprue from clip and assemble

Hi there! What kind of strength issue did you encounter? Out of the 15 or so of these I have non have broken, I have had some looser fitting clips while I refined the geometry but nothing that caused the design to fail. However if I can improve it I'm happy to do so :)
