Description

This is a center finder I developed. It can find the center of materials up to 140mm wide. There is also a remix for materials up to 75mm.

75mm version: https://makerworld.com/en/models/448112

The key feature of this center finder is the ruler that allows you to quickly measure the width of your material in increments of 5mm.

“Arachne” wall generator recommended. Tweak Parameters and see what works:

Arachne Walls, 50 Wall transitioning threshold angle, 60 Minimum wall width

I have provided a multi color version and also a single color version. The single color version uses recessed markings.

Please note that I have included .3mf files, but I have not yet printed them because I do not own a BambuLab printer yet.

Note that if you use the MultiColor.stl, you should split the part and color it yourself:

Everything except the last part is the markings.

I hope you enjoy! Please let me know if there are issues with this print.

I'll have to find out how to do that when I'm back at my PC, but I will share the profile. Thanks again!

Yes I used your 3mf and tweaked some of the parameters, but I can't recall right now what I changed. I will upload the profile when I'm back at my PC later today.

Print went well. Looks really nice. Orange filament sticks out a little bit

Looks pretty cool with the orange and white! You probably already did something about the orange sticking out, but otherwise I recommend just using a sharp blade or sandpaper to make it flush.

Thank you for sharing! Unfortunate about the small defect, but hopefully still perfectly usable.

Very nice tool, multicolor printed X1c but not visible all the numbers. Thx a lot.

That's unfortunate. I think the fact that it is the bottom layer may be the reason. Any suggestions on how to improve this are welcome. What print settings did you use? Arachne walls? Edit: Just loading it up in the slicer, I think you used "Classic" walls. It would probably look better with "Arachne" walls. I will add it to the description. I have also updated to model to use a slighly larger font

Cool tool! I added a print profile for single color. The numbers are somewhat hard to read as is, but going over it with a sharpie or highlighter makes the numbers stand out a lot more.

Thank you! I was wondering why the lettering looked like that, but it was a sharpie.

It may be due to the textured PEI plate that comes with the A1 mini. I think the numbers would be more visible on a smooth plate, because the textured plate adds texture to the bottom layer, which is what makes the numbers hard to read. Unfortunately all I have is the A1 mini with the textured plate.

Based on your print and some other feedback, I have increased the size of the markings slightly, hoping it will result in better prints.
