The print was great, but being new to 3d printing, I had no idea how to get the supports out. I saw others used PETG, but I don't have any right now. So, the larger ones were able to come out with a forceful fingernail. The medium sized ones were easily removed using a flat (90 degree) exact-o knife to pry. And, finally I realized that the small ones could be removed by stabbing them with a pointy object (curved exact-o knife in this case) and prying. Please let me know if there's an easier way.
Haha. Thanks. Hmmm. Maybe update the description or profile to remove them? Most of the things I've printed in my first two weeks have had the settings about right. Forgive me if this isn't a setting that can't be set in the profile. The more I interact with this system, the more I learn.
Both prints came out good. Body and white letters are eSun PLA+, red is Bambu Matte. First one came out good, but the supports on the back were awkward - leaving them in place (sometimes with a dab of CA) turns them into outlines rather than recesses, which works ok. The better option, as noted by @Nethuntr , is to use PETG for the interface on the supports. With PETG, most of the supports just fall off.
This will prove to be a very useful tool in my workshop. I especially liked how easily the supports were to remove from the nut guage side of the item..
