Description

Hello everyone!

One of my earliest designs was the Modular Sheikah Tower from Zelda BotW and i was pretty happy with it, as were others!

Initially, it was meant to be either a Floor Standing Lamp, or a Plant Stand with Plants on each of the Platforms, and after redesigning 99% of the parts from scratch, I've now completed one of those options, as well as made way for the Floor Lamp in the near future!

This is the Modular Sheikah Tower Planter, and while it's a fair bit of printing, for me it was well worth it!

The one in the pictures stands exactly 1 Metre Tall and has 6 Perch Planters, The outside of the top platform can also house 6 more small flowers or succulents if you desire it!

Assembly is fairly straight forward, and i've included a quick video run through below. Additionally, each Plate in the Bambu Studio Profile is named and has how many times that piece should be printed.

This Entire Tower was printed on an A1 Mini, You could definitely get more done at once on a larger build plate but it's not needed.

If your Filament isn't completely dry, the grate pattern will lead to a lot of stringing, nothing that a heat gun or lighter can't fix though. Please don't downrate my profile due to your filament not being completely dry!

For a basic tower you need the following:

  • 1x Teardrop
  • 3x Arms
  • 1x Disc
  • 1x Tub
  • 6x Platforms
  • 6x Ring
  • 1x Grate SideThing
  • 3x SideThing
  • 1x Base Hex Tray
  • 2x Grate (These two are important, 1 at the top and bottom, any perches in your pillar should be between these)
  • And for each plant you will need
    • 1x Grate Perch
    • 1x Perch
  • Just to reiterate, you can not have a Drawer Perch at the very bottom or top of your pillar, the perches will interfere with either the base, or the SideThings.

Enjoy!

This is brilliant! Cant wait for the lamp version. I have an idea to convert one of the planters to a Kumiko style lamp and put a flickering light inside. Are you sharing the fusion files anywhere ?

Sounds interesting, though i'm not sure i can picture it in my head. I've Just added the f3d file for you, looks like you have to click the little arrow and go to Download STL, it's at the bottom of that list Also..... I'm sorry in advance for my organization.... :( All of the base parts should be in the "Final Assembly" Component, so you should be able to modify anything from there, I'm not good at managing my timeline yet

Appreciate it. I'm still learning and getting used to fusion. I'm more used to sketchup for my woodworking projects. I'm very confident your organization is better than mine.. Cheers! Another idea I had was to have the planter go through the assembly to the other side. Lets see what I can modify. Here is an example of what mean by the flickering Kumiko lamp :

Hahaha I actually have a design in that file you’ve got with a “double” draw perch that goes all the way through, I realised the flaw in it too late though (sliding the drawer out won’t be possible with a plant on the other side)

Everything was printed in PLA? Would PLA be okay sitting next to a sunny window or would PETG be a better choice?

I've got mine inside with some grow lights because we don't have a good sunny spot, I've had stuff near windows before and it's been okay, if it was getting a heap of direct hot sun through summer i'd definitely either do PETG or put it somewhere else i guess treat it like any other 3d printed planter
