Description

NO SUPPORTS & PRINTS EACH UNIT FULLY ASSEMBLED!

THESE ARE MEANT TO SERVE AS AN EXTENSION TO MY LINKEDBIN PROJECT.

DRAWERS MUST BE THE SAME LENGTH TO MAINTAIN COMPATIBILITY.

UPDATED NOW WITH ADD IN DRAWER DIVIDERS (SEE PRINT PROFILES)

Finally a good simple print in place solution to some desktop drawers. drawers are large enough to fit pretty much all of your 3d printing tools like flush cutters/ deburring tools/ scrapers/ etc.

If you are like me then you have drawers but throwing these tiny tools into these massive drawers leads to losing everything, this is my solution to my own headaches and hopefully yours also.

These desktop drawers are meant to have a small enough footprint to not impede your space but be large enough to be useful. These use a low material cost dovetail joint to form a user friendly stackable masterpiece of your own creation right on your desk or workshop.

IF YOU PRINTED THE ORIGINAL LINKEDBIN AND WANT TO ADD ONTO THEM WITH THESE.

the original LinkedBin was the 196MM version, the model version in this file has been updated to allow for more reliability when printing and it will still work with the older version.

TO LOCK TOGETHER

Simply just push the stubs that are toward the front of your drawer into the slots then push forward while lining up the stubs in on the back end

Loved the original (3 printed already!) And will print more overnight, any chance of a design addition for a dual/quad divider?

That’s awesome you’re getting a collection together I love it! I considered making them with dividers but because of the PIP design I would either be limited to angled walls for dividers (basically take the front of the drawer how it angles toward the face but imagine it as dividers going down the drawer) or I would be limited to a single wall going right down the middle from back to front which I was thinking would make the drawers too narrow on the inside, well other than the 2:1 wide variant that one would do just fine. what do you think? if you want it ill definitely see what I can mock up!

Honestly just being able to cut it half - even if it ends up being a seperate add in after print would be fantastic

Thank you for the design. I did uploaded my print profile for this design of yours. I change the layer height and also the Initial layer height to 0.28mm and it cuts the print time to 1-2 hours.

These are really awesome, perfect for the little things that accumulate in life. Printed in generic gray and white PLA. Absolutely no issues!

Wow this thing is awesome. Thank you! But wait and I'm on my way to find out if this is answered on the website, but do I remove the bottom part that's a bit flimsy? EDIT: Derp. The flimsy part was the raft the slicer added. Haha.

Could I get raw files, SLDPRT or F3D. Whatever really, I wanna make the WIDE 245mm, which is currently around 70mm tall on the X axis, and make it 240mm tall, and I think scaling it is not the way to go. Thank you for making these and I'd really appreciate the help!

you’re welcome and im going to be away for a couple days but let me do one better for you, let me make a double and a triple tall version so that way it’s compatible with the rest of the set incase anyone else wants to make it. I don’t have the dimensions handy at the moment but those should be possible with the build volume we have. also I believe Bambu studio has an option if you right click a model in the slicer to export it as an STL - I know orca slicer does have that option. If that doesn’t work for the model file let me know and I’ll add them to this page as soon as I can!

Wow that sounds amazing, I'm gonna put them in the workshop I have with my buddy and since filament is pretty cheap for me, I'll be printing 6 or 8 of the triple ones which should fit perfectly measurement wise.

that’s awesome I’d love to see it when they are done! I get most of my time to play with my own designs on the weekend so likely I’ll have the design finalized around sunday but I’ll post up a message on here with a link when they are ready.

maybe a smaller version? some "multispace" drawers? they would be perfect to store, bolts, nuts, screws I forgot to mention that the "print in place" of the drawers is something I really really appreciated

those look sick! and I can definitely make that happen, I’m thinking maybe print them in 3x1 stackable units? or maybe just make them in 3x3 blocks where all the drawers would be print in place. may or may not make it modular - let me know whatcha think

These are cool! Printing some now. Any way we could get ones with a solid front and a handle instead of the cutout? I'd like to use them in a dusty environment and the cutout in the front will let in sawdust...

I could absolutely make a woodshop friendly variant in the future, the current design is optimized to have the current face on them so making the new face would call for a redesign to keep them at the same form factor & print reliability. Give me some time and i'll see what I can come up with because I do think that a closed off version would be helpful to others also, Thank you for the feedback!

great to hear, the brim isnt totally necessary but some people don’t wash their plates often so it’s mostly just to help them out. glad you like the drawers!
