Description

Throw that toilet paper roll and tape away and shove this in there instead!

When your garage door keeps re-opening because of the sun you need a tube to allow the sensors on the garage door to see each other without the sunlight interrupting it.

My design simply slides into the bracket with no need to disconnect anything and screw anything down etc.

I added a honeycomb design to allow zip ties if your situation needs that.

Installation:

  • Slide into the bracket and make sure the lights are solid, if they are blinking that means the sensors can't see each other
  • You may have to slightly adjust the bracket by pushing it over some

Very nice. Exactly what I was looking for. The sun stopped my door this morning and I had to hold the button to close it. Thank you!

Fits really well! I couldn't quite get things lined up without triggering my sensor, but I think it's a me thing. I'll have to play a little more with the alignment.

Ya those sensors are super finicky as I'm sure you know since you printed this lol. I've had mine in there for months with no issues so I hope it works out for you too!

very thin base, the tube part was great

Ya so I made the base very thin so it could squeeze in between the bracket and the rail without bulging it out and getting the sensor off track. Thanks for trying it out!

printed great. The mounting plate is pretty fragile in pla and broke but still works. I may reprint it later using petg or abs. thanks for the model

Thank you, ya it's for sure thin, I wanted to make sure it was nice and easy to slide in there without making a big gap and ruin the sensor angle.

good, working. just that you have to print on a easy remove plate. I printed on a cold plate, half of the base was broken after remove from plate
