Description

Dog Food Scoop with Changeable Name, Bag Clip, and Quick Measure Marks

This dog food scoop features a convenient bag clip, allowing you to rest the scoop on the bag until the next use or keep the bag closed if it lacks a seal zip.

+ It also has measurement marks for 50g and 100g of food (1 and 2 cups), so you can quickly approximate how much dry food is in the scoop. This way, you can ensure you're giving your dog the right amount based on their size and activity level.

(The measurements were made using the food my dog eats. I printed a test cup, measured 50g and 100g on a kitchen scale, and then designed these measurements into the cup piece. Please note that they may vary depending on the type of dog food.)

+ features a hang hole so you can hang it if needed

Feeding Guide:

  • Small Dogs (3-12 lbs):
    • Generally need about 30-50 grams (1/8 to 1/4 cup) of dry food per meal.
  • Medium Dogs (13-20 lbs):
    • Typically require around 50-100 grams (1/4 to 1/2 cup) per meal.
  • Large Dogs (21-35 lbs):
    • Usually need about 100-150 grams (1/2 to 3/4 cup) per meal.
  • Extra Large Dogs (36+ lbs):
    • Often require more than 150 grams (3/4 cup and above) per meal.

Below is a super easy tutorial on how to customize the name on the handle in just a few clicks to match your preference.

Print Profile:

The print profile is set up for the white/brown version, but you can customize the colors to your liking. It already has the name of the dog on it, which can be easily changed with the tutorial above.

Assembly:

  1. Take the handle and the cup, and screw the cup into the scoop handle a few times, taking it on and off each time to clean the threads of any 3D printing imperfections. Each time you’ll be able to screw it a bit more as the threads are cleaned.
  2. Continue screwing until the face of the dog is centered and aligned symmetrically with the ears.
  3. The fit is designed to be snug, ensuring the cup doesn't unscrew during use.
  4. If you need the bag clip, press it into the corresponding holes on the rear side of the handle, as shown in the video.

Design Compatibility:

The design has been tested with multiple materials and colors, including PLA and PETG. It works perfectly with both.

Print Setup:

  • Speeds:

    • Infills: 250 mm/s
  • Strength:
    • Walls: 3
    • Infill: 15%
    • Infill Type: Gyroid
  • Supports: Not needed, as the scoop is designed to be printed in parts with threads that screw into each other.
