Description
This is an Apple Watch charging stand that pops open so you can wind the cable in when traveling or just to have the cable shorter. I took inspiration from a smooth pebble rock that can easily be slid into a pocket or bag.
The opening mechanism is purely print in place and cannot be assembled afterwards. The design is meant to be printed with SLS like I have, but I challenge everyone interested to test their skills and their printers and print it with FDM. You may find success perhaps with soluble supports or by printing the frame in PETG and the “dog bones” inside with PLA or TPU. Post your profile and pic of your successful or unsuccessful print and perhaps together we'll find settings for bringing this model FDM printers as well!
