Replacement part for Hamilton Beach kettle

Replacement part for Hamilton Beach cordless electric kettle. The two small side buttons on the lid of this kettle are easily broken or can stay stuck inside the lid.

I designed a replacement part that is stronger than the original part and fits in the exact same spot. I printed my two parts out of nylon-gf (glass fiber reinforced nylon), but the few prototypes I initially made were out of basic PLA and they worked just fine (I didn't have any black PLA in stock).

Dismantling the lid is pretty easy, just use a small flat screwdriver and press the 3 or 4 tabs underneath the lid and it will split in two. You must reuse the spring, but you can throw away the two “buttons” as you'll be replacing them with a superior version.
