Snap-on stop for the folding rule.

The side stop surface has the same height as the beginning of the folding rule.

the end of a tape measure is supposed to move slightly… the exact amount happens to be the width of the metal end. this is so it will account for measuring while pulling out from a surface or pushing against one… this tool will make your measurements no longer accurate

The inner stop is flush with the metal plate, or the beginning or end of the ruler! For the outer stop, subtract 2mm because the stop is that thick. This allows for very precise measurements! I prefer it to a tape measure and it has proven itself reliable for three years now!

You are right but this model is for a wooden ruler not an actual tape measure, the designer should name this model something else...
