While searching for a good MagSafe mount for my car, I noticed that the space in my Volvo where the original phone module/storage compartment/cup holder is located would be ideal for placing a smartphone. Initially, I only wanted to glue a MagSafe charger to a cup holder, but then I bought a 3D printer and made it more aesthetically pleasing. In my case, I also sanded and painted the module. The MagSafe charger is held in place simply by friction within the module and can be pushed out again through the hole when removed. To power the charger, I simply sawed open a 12V to USB-C car adapter, soldered wires, and tapped into the back of the 12V socket on the climate control unit. This results in a wireless look and it appears like original equipment.

When printing, it is recommended not to use PLA or other filaments that deform easily. My first attempt with PLA deformed due to the heat from the radio. Please provide feedback if anything does not fit.

A module for the pre-facelift model is also in progress
