UPDATED VERSION IN THE LINK BELOW:

This is my variation of a 3 part Christmas ornament usually being made from wood using a CNC machine.

I tried to emulate the current band used in the ones sold on etsy but realized after printing that plastic does not bend as much as wood. I had to re-engineer the band to create a flexible yet will still look like a wood element, wrapped around the pieces.

BAND:

• The band has 2 parts so that you can print up to 7 sets per plate instead of just 3 when not cut into 2 parts.

• There are notches on 3 parts of the band which locks the side and the bottom part of the ornament into place, the top band has no notch so that it is easier to slide the top part in once the other 3 sides are inserted.

BACK PLATE:

• The back plates are printed facing down to get a nice texture if you are using a standard pei textured plate

FRONT PLATE:

• The front plate have a very small line across so you can change the names in the template accordingly

• Once you change the names, make sure that the front plate is flipped so it is printed facing down otherwise you might not have a good print since the text are floating on top of the very thin line.

• Font used in the template is Christmas Wonderland

Notes:

• DO NOT Print the band using matte filaments as it will easily break the thin connections when you bend.

• The bands work well with esun PLA+ filaments but have not been tested on other filament types

Hope this will liven up your trees! print some to give or even to sell.
