TT Motor (DC5V 59RPM CCW Single Axis) -1PCS - LA001

Description

Exclusive to Bambulabs on Makerworld I am pleased to present the automatic Christmas carousel

Fully working Christmas carousel featuring highly detailed rotating reindeer that jump up and down just like any real carousel

Simple and quick to build using very few parts supplied by Bambulabs, I want to thank them for all the support I have received to make this beautiful themed product a reality

All you need to make one is 2 screws and 1 motor available easily on the Bambulabs store

TT motor USB powered - get it here

2x screws (BT3-23 Screw *3 supplied in the AMS mounting kit) - get it here (any screw sized 2.5mmx22.5mm should work)

These cheap parts are affordable for everyone so you can make your own carousel easily for a tiny fraction of the price of a store brought carousel, and you can completely customize with your own color scheme and once printed can be built in under 10 minutes!

Designed to also be printable on the A1 mini

I will include a fully colored print profile if you want extra colored details on the carousel and reindeers for AMS users but you can print each part in any single color you choose for a multicolour carousel without AMS

Print guide for anyone not using the 3MF file :

  • Recommend printing the 6x reindeer and poles horizontally with tree supports for maximum strength - carefully extract supports and clean after printing
  • Rotary bed, roof and small cog and centre pole can easily be printed with standard slicer settings
  • Roof it is recommended to print using tree supports but should work without for those who wish to save time and filament
  • Base is recommended to print at 120ms for the walls and infill at default speed, enable z-hop under your filament section to print smooth uprights - trees supports recommended for a smoother surface under the base where the motor is inserted

Once you have removed all supports please refer to this quick YouTube build guide for instructions -

Enjoy and any further questions I will help as best as possible - Merry Christmas

That would be cool - I myself thought of this but didn't want to add any extra components - would love to see what you come up with.

I noticed that the Upper supports for the top are very fragile. would it be possible to make the lower base 1 or 2 walls thicker and make pockets for the supports like you did on the Roof??? I think this would help with the supports not breaking off and also cut down on print time

Great model! I personally Will NOT print this since all Carousells move counter clockwise. (I know, because i’m in the amusement park business) Other than that: Great work!

Thanks, but that actually depends on the region )

Isn't it possible to reverse the polarity of the motor wires and then mount the reindeer facing the other way to convert it to counter-clockwise?
