Description

Sometimes, the simplest problems lead to the best ideas.

In my VW T4 Multivan ( facelift ), I had nowhere to put my coffee cups from the gas station Circle K. After dealing with the annoyance for too long, I decided to make a cupholder myself. This was my first-ever 3D model, and I had no experience, but I gave it a shot!

I designed the cupholder to fit perfectly using the factory screws, so there’s no need for extra modifications. To protect the original panel from scratches, I added soft tape to the bottom part.

The original design was rectangular, but it kept hitting my knee. To fix that, I curved the left side, and now it’s perfect. It doesn’t block the heat controls, interfere with shifting gears, or get in the way of anything else.

I made this cupholder to meet my needs, but maybe it could work for someone else, too. It’s a small solution to a specific problem, and I’m proud of how it turned out!
