Modular Hunsn Cluster Shelf

This shelf can be used to stack multiple Hunsn RJ42 Micro Firewall Appliances.

The system is modularly designed. The necessary parts are printed.

Included are:

• Feet
  • serve as spacers for the first shelf from the floor so that air can flow through the shelf from below.
  • Each foot requires 1 x M3 threaded insert and 1 x M3x8 screw.
• Hunsn Shelf
  • Stable shelf for the Hunsn Firewall Micro Appliance.
  • Air vents are present.
  • Recesses for the rubber feet of the firewall housing. Prevents the device from slipping out of the shelf.
• Walls
  • 2 walls are needed between the Hunsn shelves / peripheral shelves.
  • These are higher than the firewall devices, so that warm air can escape.
  • Each wall requires 3 x M3 threaded inserts and 3 x M3x8 screws.
• Peripheral Shelf
  • Optionally serves as the final shelf top.
  • Can be used to integrate peripherals, such as small switches, Raspberry PI, into the cluster shelf.

Required parts

The following parts are needed for each wall:

• 3 x M3 threaded inserts
• 3 x M3x8 countersunk screws

Material

I printed the parts with the filament Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 in black.

Assembly instructions

After printing, the support structures must be removed:

• 3x per wall
• 2x per Hunsn shelf
• 2x per peripheral shelf

Then the threaded inserts are inserted into the wall elements. For this, the threaded inserts are heated and inserted into the pre-printed holes:

When assembling the shelves with the walls, it is important that the upper walls are first screwed to a shelf. For this, 2 x M3x8 countersunk screws are needed per wall and are fixed from below on the shelf. The following picture shows a shelf from the underside.

Only then are the lower elements of a shelf screwed to the shelf from above. Here you can see the feet:

This can be repeated as often as desired.
