Description
Interested in architecture Discover this VOLUME digital model of remarkable contemporary architecture from the Grand Est region in France The VOLUME model highlights the volume and form of this architecture Have fun printing it to better understand and appreciate it hoping it makes you want to visit it
The Commercy velodrome was built in 1947 by R de COL then renovated by Philippe FRAISSE in 2005 Today there are 110 outdoor velodromes in mainland France but only three in the Grand Est It is a testament to the sports facilities of the second French reconstruction which is rare but also to the history of cycling in Commercy which began very early in the late 19th century In 2023 the Commercy velodrome obtained the Remarkable Contemporary Architecture ACR label awarded by the French Ministry of Culture to works less than 100 years old
To maintain consistency with other VOLUME models in the collection this digital model represents only a corner of the cycling track
