My girlfriend needed a gavel for work for a "court day"... so we printed this one. It's very sturdy and has some heft to it, I was afraid it be too light to make a gavel sound when banged on the desk, but it is solid enough to pound the desk. my only issue was the support structure, it left some residual on the gavel. I filed/sanded it down some and that helped but it's still noticeable. But I'm a noob so I acknowledge that there may be some options that I don't know yet for reducing such...
