Description

This is a simple model of a scotch yoke mechanism. It fits together without glue. It is useful for teaching mechanical principles. It is the first in a series of models that I am creating. You can use the stl files to print various sections in different colors or print the entire model in one color.

Printed using a .4 nozzle on a PS1. I have an engineering classroom and needed various examples of different mechanisms. Passed this around to a bunch of High School students and an exemplar. Thanks for the file! Saved me from mocking one up myself. I did not have my filament tuned as well as I would have liked. As a result, some of the dimensions were off. Nothing a little sandpaper couldn't take care of.

Great model. Only issue is that the connection between the gears slips sometimes so that turning the back gear doesn't make the front one turn. Gonna work on printing a pin that I can glue in there somehow. Thanks for making this! Very useful in my classroom so far.

works well. superglue the pieces into the base or they will fall out.
